From the time you walk through the doors, you know that you are in for a different type of dining experience. When owner Chris Bradshaw and partner Allen Aldridge opened the first Blue Plate restaurant on November 9, 2004, they decided to offer a menu with a variety wide enough to satisfy any sized appetite, tastefully prepared in the true Southern Tradition.After 11 years of co-owning eating establishments in Tuscaloosa and Montgomery, Chris, decided to return to his hometown of Dothan to do what he does best…bring family and friends together around the table to enjoy food and hospitality found only in the south.The spirited atmosphere offers diners a chance to unwind. Servers are prompt and food is plentiful. It is nice to know that with today’s fast-paced and busy lifestyle, there is a place where families can gather around the table, catch up with each other and friends, while enjoying great southern cooking. Whether dining in or taking advantage of the take-out menu, The Blue Plate is sure to provide a memorable dining experience.We are capable of catering a wide variety of events, both large and small. We can build a menu to fit your budget or your hunger.
