Weeksville Heritage Center is a spectacular modern venue on the historic site of the largest free black community of pre-Civil War America.Imagine holding your next event at one of Brooklyn's most beautiful historic sites. The Weeksville Heritage Center (WHC) is one of NY’s best kept secrets. Located in Crown Heights, WHC is the site a free African American community established in 1838. On the grounds are the historic Hunterfly Road Houses. Directly across the meadow is the Education Building opened in 2014, a stunning, modern space with views of the houses and the lush landscape.
