The Well at the Distillery is a historic wedding venue located at Thornton Distilling Company, in Thornton, Illinois. The Bielfeldt family founded the distillery in 1857. The building has survived through fires, floods, and even the Prohibition Era. Al Capone established domain over the premises, only relinquishing his grasp in 1931 during his fall from power. It was in 1957 that beer brewing activities ceased at the facility, taking on various guises of other industries until its restoration in 2014. The Well at the Distillery refurbished the entire space as well as the equipment, bringing to life a new era of alcohol production.
