About Events with The Trailhead
The Trailhead, located on the edge of the Towpath Trail, Cascade Locks Park and Downtown Akron, Ohio, combines natural charm, rustic elegance and a locally-focused spirit – all personally crafted for you and your special day. Built in 1904 as Swinehart Tire & Rubber, and beautifully renovated in 2015, the building also includes 24 loft apartments and a brewery. This thoughtfully sustainable large event space glows with natural light, showcasing the building's historic character and industrial architecture. The space uses re-purposed natural wood, and was designed with the importance of energy and efficiency in mind. It’s a short walk to our National Parks, Cascade Locks Park and the Mustill Store Museum, perfect for capturing timeless photographs.
