One of Portland's Finest Event Spaces
The Masonic Temple is filled with period millwork, painted plaster, original stained glass windows, antique chandeliers and furniture and extensive use of scagliola, a 17th century plaster technique that produces a marble-like finish on walls and floors. The first floor of the Temple features easy access from Congress Street and offers two beautiful function spaces. The Scottish Rite Reading Room is perfect for cocktail parties and pre-dinner mingling surrounded by antique wood paneling and Masonic portraits. Down the hall, 20-foot doors open into the impressive Armory.
Surrounded by hundreds of Masonic Regalia lockers and featuring an original stained glass window depicting the Knights Templar, the Armory can seat a large crowd with plenty of room for a dance floor.
