Among the trees and manicured lawns of this 17-acre estate, you will find Villa Chanticleer, a charming venue that will put you in mind of a gentler, more graceful time.Built in 1910 as a country resort, the Villa has a rich history of hosting weddings, receptions, parties and community events. Guests appreciate not only the peace and beauty of the lovely surroundings, but the facility’s thoughtful amenities as well. When you arrive on the Villa grounds, take a moment to enjoy the large trees, mature landscape, fresh air and birdsong. As you cross the stone steps to the Villa's main entrance, notice the wide veranda shaded by a handsome, wisteria-draped arbor. Inside, you’re welcomed by an open, gracious foyer. The bar area directly ahead is conveniently U-shaped and surrounded by eight large booths, perfect for a cocktail hour or small family affair.The doors to your right lead to the Dining Room; those on your left open to the Ballroom. Each 3,000-square-foot room features redwood paneling, light-toned hardwood floors and bucolic views. In the Dining Room, generous picture windows frame panoramic vistas of the Alexander Valley below and Geyser Peak in the distance. From the Ballroom, you can see the veranda, the lawn, and the hillside covered in oaks, maples and bay laurel trees. A centrally located, modern commercial kitchen is easily accessible from both spaces, adding to their versatility.A short walk from the Villa is our elegant Wedding Garden. Wrought-iron gates invite you into the two-level secluded lawn bordered by terraced flowerbeds and redwood trees. A quaint gazebo may serve as either a backdrop or the focal point for your ceremony.The Annex and the Picnic/Barbecue area are excellent for casual events such as family reunions, baby showers, company picnics and rehearsal dinners.This multifaceted facility provides a memorable setting for large or intimate gatherings, and the price is quite attractive.
