About Events with The Barn
Choosing the steaks that would be featured on The Barn Steakhouse’s menu involved an intensive research and tasting process by owner Amy Morton and her team that not only included texture, flavor and visual qualities but socially conscious practices as well. Meats by Linz, a family-owned business in nearby Calumet City with more than 50 years of experience, won hands down. “We chose them based on flavor,” says Morton. “Then knowing their mindfulness and personal commitment to being the best stewards of the planet made Meats by Linz a perfect partner for us. They’re not a cookie-cutter business and neither is The Barn Steakhouse.”
Full-Buyout/ Main Dining Room
There is no more spectacular venue on the North Shore to do a buyout than at The Barn Steakhouse. Whether a wedding, 40th birthday or a holiday event, the space seamlessly lends itself to whatever the imagination dreams. And whether you opt to have Bessie the Cow as your host or utilize our sleigh driven carriage out front, The Barn Steakhouse astounds, as will the food, beverage, service and ambiance.
Capacity: 110 seated, 150-175 standing
The Garden Room is a sensational three season space used for private sit-down events, for cocktail receptions or both. During colder months, our fire pit and Adirondack chairs beckon any and all who are courageous enough to brave the elements.

A classic steak joint vibe lives in the Loft of The Barn Steakhouse, which overlooks the chic modernity of the Main Room. The Loft is private with deep red, round, tufted booths, a barely visible vintage mural and the classic service The Barn Steakhouse is known for.
