Beautiful events in a Historic Space
In 2011, Rose Schweikhart moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas with an impossibly big dream: to brew beer commercially using the city’s famous 144 degree spring water. She formed a company and began the arduous two year negotiation to lease a historic former-bathhouse in the heart of Hot Springs National Park from the federal government. Construction began in late spring of 2013 and today, the Superior Bathhouse is home to the only brewery in a US National Park and the only brewery in the world to utilize thermal spring water in their beer. Rose considers beer to be a creative process. Like the varied timbers and dynamics one can coax from a tuba, grains, hops, and yeast offer an endless creative pallet, and create she does. Rose and the Superior Bathhouse brewing team crank out a constant stream of new beer from the original to the outlandish. If you ever find yourself in Arkansas, please stop by the Superior and experience #HotSpringsOnTap for yourself!
Locally and Sustainably Sourced
Spent grains from our brewing process make their way to JV Farms in Bismarck, Arkansas to feed their livestock. We then purchase that livestock from the farm, bringing the whole thing full circle, so that we can offer you locally sourced, ethically-raised, premium beer-”raised and braised” pork.
Our lettuces are sourced from Arkansas Natural Produce who have been growing beautiful fresh produce in southern Arkansas since 1988. The farm is nestled in a beautiful valley south of Hot Springs, AR. Although not certified organic, all of their crops are naturally grown, using organic practices. Using no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or preservatives in the growing or packing of products, so you can rest assured that it is safe and wholesome for your family and our environment. Our products are picked fresh to order - typically the day before they are delivered!
