The Barn
Story’s newly restored 120 year old barn is the perfect space for events of all sizes. Comfortably seating as many as 100 guests on the inside, it’s great for receptions, business retreats, and meetings. The Barn also acts as a beautifully rustic backdrop for outdoor events, and also features a stage that can be used for ceremonies, dancing, and music performance.

The Mill- Indoor venue
The 19th Century grain mill next to the Story Inn's General store is a perfect place for all weather meetings and parties. This remarkably well-preserved tin roofed clapboard edifice still has the original grain milling equipment in place! We recently renovated the interior of this remarkable building with pine paneling from locally-harvested trees. We offer a full range of menu items in the Old Mill, which your group can enjoy in privacy, come snow, rain, heat, or night. The Mill offers not only a catering space on the first level, but a overnight king suite upstairs which comes with the rental fee.

The Porch- Indoor venue
Located in our main building/restaurant, this private room would be an ideal space for a rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, or meeting. The room will hold up to 40 people. The porch was recently remodeled to feature a new hardwood floor and picture windows. The large, open windows give you a lovely view of the patio and grill.

The Patio- Outdoor venue
Behind the restaurant and near the garden, the patio is a great space for a dinner reception or gathering. We offer linens and wild flowers for the tables along with string lights to give the perfect ambiance. During the summer & fall we have live music every Saturday & Sunday, guests can enjoy food & beverage from the Summer Grill. You can also rent out the patio for a private dinner/lunch with selections from our catering menu.

The Garden- Outdoor venue
Not far from the barn is a carefully tended herb garden which supplies our gourmet restaurant. In the spring, hundreds of daffodils and day lilies shoot from the turf, to complement the riot of redbuds and dogwoods in the forest. During warm weather, the fenced garden area is available for weddings or event outings.

The Restaurant
The Story Inn's immodest mission is to define and refine authentically Hoosier cuisine. We offer locally-grown produce, eggs and fruit; locally raised duck, bison, and lamb. Our herbs and garnishes are grown and harvested in our own gardens. When placing these raw materials into the hands of our talented chefs, the results are carefully crafted masterpieces from only the finest ingredients. By matching the ambiance and food with fine wines, we are able to produce an experience that cannot be duplicated anywhere.
