About Events with Sophia's Lounge
Named after Queen Charlotte, Sophia’s Lounge offers a royally outfitted setting in the heart of Uptown on 5th Street in The Ivey’s Hotel. In this space, opulence meets vibrant European flair.Guests can sip on crafted cocktails and food by Bravo’s Top Chef Alum Jamie Lynch. You can choose to sit at the custom-built wraparound bar, or in its many intimate corners in a high backed chair or on a velvet sofa.

Sophia's Lounge is the ideal location to host events of up to 100 guests, creating a signature dining and cocktail experience. Named for Queen Sophia Charlotte, Sophia’s offers a royally outfitted setting in the heart of Uptown on 5th Street in The Ivey’s Hotel. In this space, opulence meets a vintage touch and vibrant European flair. Relax at the custom-built wraparound bar or recline in one of the many intimate corners, filled with high-backed chairs and velvet sofas. Art adorns the walls under the glittering custom chandeliers along with the glow of candlelight. A truly luxurious lounge, we are sure our patrons will agree that it is the first in of its kind in Charlotte.
A full buyout allows you to customize every aspect of your event including AV, music, layout, decorations, cocktails, and menu items. This would include the main bar, a second pop up bar, 6 high top cocktail tables, an hors d'oeuvres display and plenty of room for your guests to either sit or stand while mingling.

Queen's Quarters
The left side of Sophia’s Lounge is known as the Queen’s Quarters and it is the perfect space to host your event. This signature space includes Elizabeth’s Table and Mary’s Table. Each table is named after one of Queen Sophia’s children and is unique in its artwork, furniture, and style. This space includes several lounge areas, a private bar, hors d'oeuvres buffet and plenty of room for your guests to stand or sit while mingling. This area can hold up to 30 guests for an hors d’oeuvres and cocktail standing reception.

Each table is named after one of Queen Sophia’s children and is unique in its artwork, furniture, and style. King George and Charlotte’s Tables both include floor to ceiling windows that overlook the bustling city life on 5th Street. It is also includes the main bar that will be serving your group.
