About Events with Post House
Post House is an inviting, lively restaurant and boutique inn featuring a dedicated private events space ideal for large parties and special occasions. Nestled in the heart of the Old Village, Mount Pleasant, SC, Post House’s original features and historic charm lend to its unique character. Post House provides private dining experiences fine-tuned to fit your vision, with dining and bar programs tailored to you. A buyout of any of our event venues will offer a private experience featuring a dedicated bar and service team. With venue options for any party size or event, Post House will customize our space to enhance your event vision. From outdoor cocktail parties in our fully covered courtyard, to four course dinners in our private Rose Room, allow our events team to suggest the perfect menu and venue to bring your party to life. Each event proposal will include base rentals, including tables, chairs, linens, and table settings along with a full service staff. Floral and additional decor is not included, however Post House has a list of preferred vendors upon request.

Buyout
For a large event, consider renting the full Post House. The perfect all-in-one venue, Post House provides a private dining space, ceremony space, and reception space with seven inn rooms for added charm and convenience. A full buyout includes our bar, main dining room, and patio. Our events team will work with you to provide the most creative and functional use of the space. The maximum capacity is 150.

Rose Room
Our private dining room is situated on our second floor with direct access from the Post House’s front entrance. True to its name, the light rose color palette is complemented by custom Murano chandeliers, an elegant backdrop perfect for rehearsal dinners, private brunches, cocktail parties and beyond. The Rose Room is equipped with its own private bar, dedicated events kitchen, and flat screen television to be used for presentations throughout your event if needed. The maximum seated capacity is 40.

Patio
Enjoy the Post House’s charming outdoor dining space for a reception or cocktail hour with passed appetizers. A full overhead cover and optional heating lamps will protect you and your guests from unexpected Charleston weather. The space features a customizable, private bar as well as an outdoor kitchen, allowing for a dining experience sure to delight your guests. The maximum capacity is 60.

Our main dining room is a wonderfully customizable room on our first floor with plenty of space to bring your event to fruition. Whether you envision a cocktail hour followed by a family style dinner, or a luxurious, formal dinner for an extra large party, our main dining room can be molded into your ideal layout.
