About Events with Pomona
Pomona is a seasonal American restaurant named for Pomona, the mythological goddess of fruit, the harvest, and abundance, and whose statue graces the top of the iconic Pulitzer Fountain located directly across from the restaurant. Our menu features a variety of dishes that are inspired by New York ingredients and culinary traditions, with offerings like Hudson Valley Foie Gras Slider with Sour Apple Butter; Montauk Fluke Crudo with Buttermilk Ponzu, Finger Lime; Seawater Brined Chicken with New York State Oats, Lemon, Escarole;and a Prime 40 Day-aged 12oz NY Strip.Vignola is also adapting a New York classic – the hot dog – by offering a Black Truffle Chicken Dog on a Brioche Bun and Spicy Mustard.Pomona's cocktail program features a variety of signature cocktails, classics, an Old Fashioned menu, as well as a selection of Negroni variations all of them inspired by the Native Americans and Dutch that have origins in local produce, teas, roots, herbs, and genever; while the post-Revolutionary War era focuses on old Madeiras, applejack, rums, and, of course, New York apples.
