Parkway Ballroom was once the swing and sway palace of Bronzeville. From 1940 to 1974, Parkway Ballroom was the destination of choice for Chicago's affluent jazz and blues community. At Parkway Ballroom, social, civic, and industrial organizations held their annual fundraisers, membership teas and graduation balls; happy crowds danced the night away to the incomparable melodies of Count Basie, Sarah Vaughn and Nat King Cole; and families celebrated birthdays, weddings, and reunions.
Fast forward to now, Parkway Ballroom is reintroducing a "A New Era of Elegance" by presenting the space’s traditional grandeur with a distinctively modern flair. Parkway Ballroom is a flexible, full service venue suitable for a wide range of events; offering a variety of spaces for your event. The management team sets the bar for excellence in culinary presentation, hospitality and event planning.
