Museum & History Tokens
The Newell House Museum Complex has several unique collections of Oregon history artifacts, creating a wonderful atmosphere for your guests. Our collection includes the Oregon Inaugural Ball Gown Collection, with the earliest gown dating back to 1851. Newell House has an extensive collection of quilts, needlework, and other piece goods dating back to the 1700's. There are also many carding, spinning, and weaving tools on display from many original pioneer families. The museum is fortunate to have a significant collection of early basket, bead, and leather work from many northwest Indian tribes, as well as many items once owned by the last Indian Princess of Coos Bay.
