About UsSet in the peaceful suburbs of Manchester, The Carriage House at Murphy’s Taproom in Bedford, New Hampshire accommodates public, private, corporate and social events and functions of all sizes and types. Our efforts focus on providing a sophisticated, elegant, and stylish venue that can house any event, no matter the size or occasion. The Carriage House specializes in weddings and seated functions up to 240. More intimate events can be coordinated in our private dining areas provided through Murphy’s Taproom in the restaurant, seating up to 44. The Carriage House ballroom is our core banquet area featuring grand ceiling heights with a rustic ambiance. We also offer high-tech audio and visual options, a private bridal suite and powder room, pre-function private bar, and stairs leading to the impressive mezzanine overlooking the ballroom – perfect for group photos!Our function facility has its own outdoor patio adjacent to The Carriage House. This provides a quiet, friendly space. The Carriage House allows for unique settings including classroom, cocktail or banquet/ballroom alignments. We offer spacious 72” round tables and our padded chiavari chairs add the perfect embellishment to your event. Set on Route 101 in Bedford, NH, we are accessible to all major interstate and local highways. We are 20 minutes away from Boston-Manchester airport and less than an hour drive from Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. Accommodations can be made with several area hotels. We also foster relationships with many local vendors. Meet Thomas Reany – Executive ChefA native of Hoboken, New Jersey, Thomas Reany found his calling to cuisine at a young age while working in his mother’s kitchen. He began his career in New York City and embraced it with passion. At The Rainbow Room and later the Peninsula Hotel, he soon secured a position as Sous Chef at Prix Fixe and later at the world-acclaimed Waldorf Astoria Hotel.In 2005, Chef Tom took his talent to Atlanta, Georgia where his love for smoking and curing meats deepened. He later joined the culinary team at the InterContinental Hotel, a Forbes 4-Star establishment which led him back to his native New England.His passion for food extends outside the kitchen into cultivating his own at-home organic crops and bee apiary. He believes the most flavorful cuisine is made simply with the best, highest quality products and he considers it part of his job to inspire and educate guests about the bounty we enjoy seasonally.
