In 1907, the Loose Mansion was masterfully designed by Ella and Jacob Loose to host Kansas City’s most exquisite affairs. Today, this fully restored mansion with a remarkable history is still home to the most elegant of evenings.We are so much more than a traditional venue. Entire Mansion
The Loose Mansion is a Kansas City treasure located right in the heart of the city. There is no event more fun than those involving use of the entire Loose Mansion! Your guests will love the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of our elegant, historic space. Our Creative Team will help you design the use of the space and flow for the event to ensure that it works great for your group and plans. Groups of all sizes rent the entire mansion, depending on event plans and budget. Our technology allows larger groups to stay connected with sound and video. And, the natural separation between levels gives guests wonderful choices, allowing for different uses of the space, including different food, music or entertainment. Dancing can take place on the main or 3rd levels, with plenty of space, even for our largest groups. The mansion has about 15,000 sq. ft. with 4 different levels with varying space and 3 restrooms on each level. The main level is accessible to all. Stairs are required to access other levels, Entire mansion events can be planned to ensure all guests can participate in activities.

Main Level
Loose Mansion's Main Level has been beautifully restored and provides elegant venue space with architectural treasures that are fun to see and explore. Guests will enter through the stunning marble foyer and then into the grand foyer where they will take note of the massive staircase, hand-carved mahogany woodwork and gorgeous chandeliers. Through enormously wide doorways, they will see all areas of the "L" shaped main level, including the spacious Grand Salon, Music Room, Dining Room and Sun Porch areas. Dancing normally occurs in the area next to the stage (ideal for DJ's or Bands), which can be shown on TV's in the Dining Room, Sun Porch and throughout the mansion, if desired. The Main Level is handicap accessible (electric lift from parking to main level), and has crystal chandeliers (including an original by Tiffany), hand-made custom ironwork, 11.5' ceilings, large dance floor and stage, direct access to large outdoor patio, three HD TV's & HD 8'screen with TV/HD live feed capabilities, sound system, 3 fireplaces (one with handmade, ceramic tile depicting Bible stories), hardwood & custom Italian tile flooring, private restrooms, and huge kitchen. Up to 194 can be seated theatre-style and 180 can be seated for dinner on this level. This level has approximately 4,000 sq. ft.

Lower Level - Sunshine Bistro
The Lower Level's Sunshine Bistro, originally home to Jacob Loose’s Cigar & Billiards Room, provides the perfect cocktail hour scene and often additional dinner seating, when needed. This level contains original Italian tile, beautiful hand-painted murals, and a private bar. The focal point is a large fireplace with hand-carved tile and a gorgeous walnut mantle with accent lighting that creates a warm and inviting ambiance. The Lower Level event space is about 1,200 sq. ft.

3rd Level Ballroom
The Third Level Ballroom is beautiful, wide-open event space with an ornate tin ceiling, stunning African mahogany fireplace and mantle, hardwood flooring, large dance floor that can grow to any size needed, LED special effects lighting for the dance floor, large bar with accent lighting, 3 large HD TV's with TV/HD live feed capabilities, sound system, a huge stained glass window, and old-world chandeliers. The Ballroom has its own unique appearance, and can be used in conjunction with other areas in the mansion or remain completely separate with its own entrance, parking, staircase, bar, restrooms, outdoor balcony, serving kitchen and staffing. We can seat up to 230 guests with theatre-style seating or 150 for a plated meal in this space. It has 3,200 square feet and has 11.5 ft. ceilings.

2nd Level Parlor & Portico
This elegant and unique space located on the 2nd level has a beautiful fireplace, ornate tin ceiling, delicate crystal chandeliers, 9.5' ceiling, sound system, TV with live feed capabilities, private bar, serving kitchen, and private restroom. It can be rented separately or added to other areas, and provides an inviting indoor/outdoor experience for guests. Parlor areas include about 1000 sq. ft. and Portico is 700 sq. ft.

Grand Salon/Music Room
For discounted Private Dining Package events (designed for clients booking a dinner event on any Monday - Thursday evening or on a weekend date inside 90 days before the event date), it is possible to book just 1/2 of the main level for an event to stand alone. The Grand Salon and Music Room (north side of main level) have an extremely large doorway between them and function as one room for events. These rooms have pocket doors to shut them off from the main level foyer. Although we can seat 140 for a meal in this space, for a stand-alone event that will include space for cocktails (with bar) and dinner, we suggest a maximum of 74 guests.

Dining Room/Sun Porch
For discounted Private Dining Package events (designed for clients booking a dinner event on any Monday - Thursday evening or on a weekend date inside 90 days before the event date), it is possible to book just 1/2 of the main level for an event to stand alone. The Dining Room/Sun Porch areas (south side of the main level) have pocket doors to shut them off from the main level foyer. Although we can seat 55 for a meal in this space, for a stand-alone event that will include space for cocktails (with bar) and dinner, we suggest a maximum of 36 guests. Stepping out of the Sun Porch is a large outdoor patio. These areas feature stunning woodwork and two, one-of-a-kind fireplaces (one was designed and constructed by Henry Chapin Mercer with unique ceramic tile depicting Bible stories).

Carriage House - A Bed & Breakfast
Loose Mansion's Carriage House was once home to three of Ella and Jacob Loose’s staff members. One of Kansas City’s first Ford Model T’s was parked in the main floor garage. The Carriage House has been beautifully restored by the current owners to serve as a delightful Bed & Breakfast that adds fun and convenience when booked with your event! It is often enjoyed by our wedding parties for the weekend, couples for their wedding night, grandparents or families with young children who will have difficulty making it through an entire event, and meeting participants and presenters. The two-story Carriage House provides two suites and a total of five bedrooms … more than 2,200 square feet of space. Both levels can be rented together or individually. Each level has it’s own entrance, but there is an inside staircase with a door that can be unlocked, when needed. A delicious continental breakfast is included with your stay, along with complimentary beverages and snacks. Children are more than welcome, but please no pets.
