The first thing you’ll notice when you pull up to Lewis Barbecue are the massive, custom-made smokers, welded by the pitmaster himself. Inside you’ll order at the counter, where John Lewis is slicing up true Central Texas barbecue, cut-to-order.
Join the barbecrew and some special guests in celebration of one of John’s favorite ingredients, the Hatch green chile at our 2nd Annual Lewis Chile Roast! Some of our favorite local chefs including Shuai Wang of Short Grain and Jeremiah Schenzel and Nick Dowling of Daps, will offer tastes of chile bites, along with limited-edition chile beverages from Revelry Brewing and Cathead Vodka. Enjoy live music from local artists while perusing the mini-market of chile-centric products and fresh roasted chiles from Hatch, New Mexico. The event runs from 2-5pm and is free to attend, so stop by and revel hatch chile heaven!
