Our spacious, SOMA dance studio is a wide open canvas for your event, meeting, class, or workshop. Past clients include EarthJustice, Universe, Target, Off the Grid, ArtGravitySF, and many independent movement practitioners.
Available amenities: 80 padded folding chairs, 12 ten-foot folding tables, 2 restrooms, utility sink (useful for art workshops - painting, etc.), keypad entry for added security
A/V options: wifi, surround sound for music, projector available (to be projected on a white wall).
Plus: THREE TRANSITIONAL WALLS on wheels so you can change up the space however you like (see photos).
Transit: Less than a mile from BART/MUNI, bus lines (Harrison/8th drop offs). Metered parking and 2-hour parking nearby.
May be brought in if confined to lobby area for set-up. Specialized wooden dance floor cannot be cleaned with water (Bona cleaner ONLY).
Studio is home to the operating staff of a nonprofit contemporary dance company, so there are sometimes staff in the space during the daytime . Staff operations are minimally intrusive and confined to the lobby/office entrance area. Renters must agree to share the space.
