About Events with Lamia's Fish Market
Lamia's Fish Market, is a fresh new 200 seat seafood restaurant located in the heart of the lower east side at 47 Avenue B.The radically reimagined legendary Le Souk Moroccan restaurant , Lamia’s takes the sexiness and femininity of seafood and gives it that Lower east side edge. Each of the seven different dining experiences have a unique identity and feel which is ideal for a romantic dinner for two, birthday parties or large private events. The chef and owner, Lamia Funti, is achieving her long-time dream by creating this new restaurant in a sexy setting, designed with women in mind. Lamia’s background is from Spain and Morocco. Inspired by her roots the cuisine will have mediterranean influence that is locally sourced. The cuisine will reflect where tradition meets innovation .This Multi-Level Experiential Design juxtaposes authentic nautical elements with a modern new take blending the finest organic materials giving this unique space a look that is feminine , sophisticated, and edgy Tremendous skylights throughout the space pour light into this cavernous venue - great for sunlit brunches and dinner under the stars. The space is infused with innovative art installations at every turn from international artists Will Kurtz, Brian Farrell, Michela Martello, and Dara Young.

THE LOUNGE
The bar is lit by hand painted Sailor Jerry Tattooed lighting fixtures handed by artist Bryan Farrell mounted on a tunneled ceiling made of steel and black fishnets . The custom illuminated vintage nautical map tables feature countries that are personal to the owners rich history.
The bar is created out of recessed salvaged portholes, deck lights and steel with integrated taps, wine distillery feature, and visible regulator panels for the craft beer.
The bar will feature local wines and beers from producers all around New York, as well as Mediterranean wine, beer and hand-crafted cocktails.

THE COVE
The Front Dining Room is filled with sexy feminine shapes. The Octopus Shaped Banquette with rich gradient velvets and Sailor Jerry Tattoo Lights. The Oyster shaded stone tables and curved brass chairs have an abstract fishtail shape.
The cavernous wave ceiling boasts a suspended coral reef installation made of Teal Starfish Slabs of Wood from Indonesia and Custom Japanese Fishing Float Lights.
Artist Michela Martello created the Lamia mural on the original brick wall .

THE RAW BAR
Come enjoy the raw bar with your friend or lover on sexy custom seats for two. You can enjoy your meal under the stars or basking in the sun in this gorgeous atrium.
The raw bar features a lavish mother of pearl fish display, moss wall, and barnacle sculptural installation.

THE DECK
The mezzanine overlooks the raw bar through windows and is shrouded by the second full-ceiling skylight.
Designed to feel like a boat with the floor and ceiling made of teak wood with recessed lighting installation, the mezz features all white banquettes with brass railing and custom brass portholes that frame the windows.
The tables feature salvaged nautical chain bases. And hand painted nautical Stripe tables on white washed wood.

THE GROTTO
The lower level of the restaurant will feature a robust open kitchen with communal live edge dining tables and original stone walls.
The dining area features rich mustard velvet banquets and upholstered wall with gold leafed panels and salvaged brass porthole mirrors.
In the cellar you will find wine sourced locally and throughout the Mediterranean.
