La Maison Rouge
La Maison Rouge, one of the most unique event venues in the South, has surprised and delighted guests for over 25 years. In 2020, we moved from midtown Atlanta to downtown Atlanta.
Our new home, at the Healey Building, is on the national register of historic places. Built in 1913, it is an incredible neo-gothic marble building with a gorgeous entrance rotunda that we have available for use in addition to our new space. The ornate and opulent furnishings have been gathered from buying trips overseas, from estates here in Georgia, and we are especially honored to have some pieces from the home of Coretta Scott and Dr. Martin Luther King. Over the years we have hosted innumerable celebrations, fundraisers, and shows.
The new space is almost double the size of our previous one so we now have a larger capacity and more availability for smaller events as well. In addition, we are no longer relegated to having only evening events. We now can provide events at all hours! If you enjoyed our previous location in Midtown you are going to fall in love with our new home.
We love to host! Our capacity is a spacious 325, and seated, with everyone having a table to rest a drink on, we can accommodate 200. There is no minimum, but I will say it might feel a bit lonely with less than 30 people.
We are available for rental at all hours. An average event is an 8-hour rental, which breaks down to 2 hours to set-up 5 hours for a party and 1 hour after for cleanup.

The Space
Our sprawling 9,100 sq. ft floorplan includes two main rooms. One is generally utilized as the dining area, and the other is the main celebration or event venue. Complete with a sound system and a stage swathed in red velvet, it is perfect for a show, a presentation, or a wedding. But everything is interchangeable, and one room flows into the other through an antique Chinese arch.
The rooms are layered in textures, chandeliers, and settees evoking a private club from the 1920's that you might discover (if you know the right gadfly) hidden beneath the streets of Montmartre.
Two very large private restrooms are ideal for prepping for your big day, housing the band, or pre-celebrations before your guests arrive.
There are hidden treasures everywhere, including numerous selfie spots, and access to a forgotten underground tunnel.
A small catering prep kitchen is available next to the large buffet station, and two bars are ready for your guests.
All furnishings are included as well as the 180 candles that we light for every event.

Food & Beverage
Our venue policy is that you bring your own food, usually catered, your own beverages/alcohol, and your own entertainment.
We at La Maison Rouge are very egalitarian about our vendors. If you love your neighborhood taco spot, or your grandmother’s desserts, they are welcome! Our only requirement is that whoever distributes your alcohol must have at least 2 million dollars liquor liability, and if we have not worked with your vendors before, we must meet with them before your event. There are only a few that we would prefer not to work with, and we can explain why.
We allow you to bring your own beverages, and after your event, we will box it up for you and you have 48 hours to come and get it. Cheers!
Do we have favorites? Of course, and we would love to share with you a list of local companies that are affordable, delicious, and charming.
