About Events with Jimmy's Famous Seafood
Jimmy's is the product of The American Dream; Built by our founder, the late Demetrios "Jimmy" Minadakis in 1974, who clearly had high aspirations for the future Baltimore Landmark, adding "Famous" to the title. An immigrant from the tiny village of Arkasa, located on the Greek Island of Karpathos, Jimmy started with a bar & carry-out, and methodically expanded the empire to eventually include what presently stands here on Holabird Avenue. Following his untimely passing in 2003, "The Famous" was inherited by Jimmy's sons, who continue to lead Jimmy's to unprecedented heights with the same passion, tirelessness, and foresight that their father was renowned for.
