Ellen's opened its doors in October 2012 with a very simple concept: serve good old-fashioned homemade Southern comfort food with a smile. It turned out that other folks liked the idea too. Within just a few months, our 32-seat dining room would be full most of the time and our tiny kitchen could barely keep up. Before long, there were more guests waiting in line outside than sitting in the dining room. We had obviously underestimated our appeal.Three and a half years and 450,000+ guests later, Ellen's moved right across the street to our current location in May 2016. With more than three times the space, we can now accommodate up to 190 guests at once. Our new space also has an elegant private dining room for parties up to 48 and a spacious patio for al fresco dining. We are proud to have become one of Dallas' most popular restaurants. Thanks to our loyal local customers and countless visitors from all around the world, Ellen's continues to serve thousands of guests each week.
