At City Café, we put immeasurable care into everything we do, all to provide our Guests a dining experience like no other. The principles we operate on have long been instilled in the grand tradition of fine dining in the Park Cities. We have a passion for quality food and service, careful attention to detail, and a determination to treat every person that walks through the door as a welcome Guest.
Because our values emphasize using fresh ingredients and preparing everything from scratch each day to serve only the finest quality food, we’ve invested a lot in having the right people on staff. Our chef oversees the kitchen at lunch and each night which means we can ensure every dish – not just our incredible fish and meat, but our sauces, desserts and sides, too – goes out flawlessly. Our talented pastry chefs create decadent desserts and our wine list offers a wonderful and varied selection of beautiful wines at pleasing prices.

On the northwestern edge of University Park sits an exceptional white-tablecloth neighborhood bistro. The menu changes seasonally, but it retains the relaxed New American-California character that has been the restaurant’s trademark since 1985. Impressing even distinguished American chef Julia Child, for three decades City Café has been widely recognized in Texas Monthly, Food & Wine Magazine, Zagat, Wine Spectator, D Magazine, and was also recipient of AAA’s “Diamond Award”. City Café is considered to be a “Neighborhood Gem” in the Dallas dining scene.

City Cafe' is the perfect venue to host any event that calls for comfort and class. We have experience hosting rehearsal dinners, bridal / baby showers, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, fundraising events, corporate meetings and luncheons, as well as any other event you care to imagine.
