About Us:A food garden on the top floor of the beloved American Visionary Art Museum, overlooking the historic Federal Hill, Cielo Verde 'Green Sky' offers a soothing & vibrant atmosphere, intended to nurture the eyes, mind and palate. With a focus on clean, green, sustainable food, Cielo Verde unifies the connection between food and culture. A culture where there is a deep rooted appreciation of food that transcends flavor, into gratitude of the earth and bounty from which it came. Enjoy full Latin-Mediterranean essence in a jungle oasis while you take a pause, have a drink, breath in and contemplate the old adage "as above, so below.”Green Practices:Cielo Verde is an eco conscious low waste cafe and caterer with a zero-waste goal. At Cielo, we believe that everyone has a responsibility towards the earth and we are always brainstorming ways to make significant changes in our practices. We limit the use of single use items and are committed to use only quality compostable or biodegradable when single use is unavoidable. We buy from local organic farms, support Baltimore’s farmers markets, and focus on seasonal ingredients. Sustainability is a priority in everything we serve, buy, and use. Events and Catering:At Cielo Verde, our speciality is creating an intimate, full service, boutique catering experience. Our work is a collaborative effort with our clients, working to create a personalized and unforgettable event. We are the exclusive caterer in the Cielo Verde space. Additionally, we are one of the preferred caterers for all of the AVAM venues and can accommodate events up to 200 guests.Space Rental:If you are interested in having your event in Cielo Verde , please note that there are space rental fees from AVAM to support the museum, before we can work together on your event. Cielo Verde indoor space can seat up to 65 guests for dinner or up to 100 for a cocktail style affair. In addition, the terrace seats 45 people during the warm months of the year.
