About Events with Center for Brooklyn History at Brooklyn Public Library
Brooklyn Public Library is delighted to announce that Brooklyn Historical Society is now the Center for Brooklyn History at Brooklyn Public Library. When it is not providing service to the public, the landmark Brooklyn Heights location at 128 Pierrepont Street is available for weddings, private and corporate events, as well as location shoots.

Lower Level Classroom
Located on the lower level of our Pierrepont Street location, the classroom has a sophisticated audiovisual system that can be connected to the Great Hall’s media. This space is ideal for small lectures and meetings of up to 40 people. During catered events, the classroom functions as the kitchen.

Othmer Library
The stunning and Timeless Othmer Library is perfect for photography, elegant ceremonies, cocktails, and intimate receptions for 65 guests with a small dance floor or seated dinners up to 100 guests with no dance floor.

The Great Hall features soaring wood ceilings, regal columns, and several ornate windows. The versatile event space is ideal for seated dinners, cocktail receptions, workshops, movie screenings, and more. The Great Hall features a sophisticated surround sound system and a large retractable screen to fulfill all your audiovisual needs. This event space can hold 200 standing for cocktail event or a seated ceremony, 150 seated for dinner with no dance floor or 120 seated for dinner with a small dance floor.
