From the team behind The Stanton Social comes Beauty & Essex, a grand 10,000 square foot restaurant, bar, & lounge in the heart of the lower east side.
The atmosphere of the space is both grand and intimate, moody and effervescent. Various rooms for lounging and dining unfold on two floors, like a large turn-of-the-century townhouse. Each room has its own unique elements that celebrate timeless jewelry designs and upscale jewelry stores.
The cuisine is multi-ethnic in inspiration, casually elegant, and designed for sharing at the table among friends and family. Where the Stanton Social"s menu is Chef Chris Santos' take on cocktail party classics and street foods from across the globe, Beauty & Essex is rooted in a bold bistro direction focusing on the reinvention of modern family style dining that is both whimsical and sophisticated.

2nd Floor Buyout
Our 2nd floor houses the Mirror Bar, Pearl Lounge and Locket Dining Room and is reached by a spiral staircase that wraps around our 2 story chandelier. The space can accommodate up to 200 guests for standing & mingling, or up to 70 guests for mixed use. The 2nd floor is accessible only by stairs. A DJ booth overlooks the floor and a private entrance is available.

Broche Bar, Gold & Grand Dining Room
Our ground floor is a railroad space consisting of the Broche Bar, Gold Room, Grand Dining Room & the Vault. The space can accommodate up to 300 guests for standing and mingling, or up to 145 for a mixed format standing/seated event. Our ground floor is highly versatile and has accommodated cocktail parties, film shoots, bar mitzvahs, rehearsal dinners, dance parties, and even live performance.

Full Venue Buyout
Beauty & Essex welcomes your private buyout events for up to 550 guests. We house two bars and lounge areas, a state of the art sound system and are easily accesible on the Lower East Side. The space is fully adaptable to every style from movie premiers to bar mitzvahs, and is available for film and television location rental.

The Locket Dining Room
The Locket Room can seat up to 70 guests at tables of 4-12 people each in a banquet style. The space shares our 2nd floor with a bar and a lounge, and can be open to the atmosphere of the bar or made exclusive with a curtained doorway. The Locket Room is ideal for corporate reward and rehearsal dinners, and for daytime showers. The space is on our 2nd floor and accessible only via stairs.

The Mirror Bar + Locket Dining Room
Ideal for a cocktail hour followed by a seated meal for up to 70 guests. The space shares our 2nd floor with the Pearl Lounge and is available to rent with varying degrees of privacy.

The Mirror Bar + Pearl Lounge
Our Mirror Bar + Pearl Lounge make up 2/3 of our 2nd floor and are ideal for a cocktail party with both cocktailed service and access to the bar with up to 80 lounge banquette seats. The rooms bookend the DJ booth and spiral staircase that wraps around our 2 story chandelier. A private entrance is available and the space is accessible only via stairs.

The Pearl Lounge
The Pearl Lounge shares our 2nd floor with the Mirror Bar & Locket Dining Rooms, sits next to our DJ Booth and overlooks our two story Chandelier Staircase. The room holds up to 65 guests with low banquette seating and cocktail tables and allows for standing and mingling.

The Vault
The Vault dining room sits at the back of the Grand Dining Space and guests may choose to join the atmosphere of the larger dining room or to close a curtained doorway for privacy. The space has a dedicated server and an elegantly raised table, and is ideal for birthdays, bachelorettes and other intimate meals.
