Above the dining room at Bad Hunter is the Herbarium, an event space dedicated to a range of private and semi-private occasions. Whether you're planning an intimate dinner party or lively social gathering, our team is excited to help you craft your occasion and create timeless memories.

Weddings & Rehearsal Dinners
The Herbarium can host up to 150 guests for a wedding reception with partial seating. We have a capacity of 80 guests for a seated dinner, with an area reserved for a small ceremony, cocktail reception and dance floor.
The Herbarium is an ideal space for rehearsal dinners and welcome receptions!
Pro Tip: A lot of our couples opt to host a smaller rehearsal dinner (20-40 guests) that transitions into a larger welcome reception (up to 150 guests). It's a great way to include all your guests and we've got the space to do it!
Seated Events
We offer several floor plans for seated events based on the size of your party. Capacity for seated events ranges from 10 guests to 80 fully seated. The Herbarium is available for complete buyouts as well as semi-private dining for smaller groups.
Receptions
A full buyout of The Herbarium has a capacity of 140 guests for a reception, including partial seating. We offer passed hors d'oeuvres, food stations and larger action stations that include a chef attendant.

Private Dining
Full buyouts for brunch, lunch and dinner ensure complete privacy and use of the second floor event space. For smaller intimate dining experiences, The Halsted and Randolph Room are available for partial buyouts: groups of 10 - 40 guests, with the option to reserve the bar area for a cocktail reception before sitting down for your meal.
