    Unique Halloween Party Decorations

    October 22, 2013

Halloween is right around the corner. Have you decorated your house yet? Check out these unique Halloween party decorations for a little inspiration! Use these ideas to decorate your event space for your spooktacular Halloween party.

    Friendly Ghost Shades

To make these, you'll need paper window shades, thin white paper, paint tape, spray adhesive, double-stick tape, and a ghost template. First, trim the window shade to fit your window. Then, print and cut out the ghost template and trace onto thin white paper. Finally, cut out the ghost shapes and glue onto your window shade. Then hang them up and you’re done!

    Tin Can Luminaries

This is a really affordable way to decorate your home for Halloween. Place them along your driveway or by your front door to light up the front of your house for trick-or-treaters. All you need are some large coffee cans, permanent marker, hammer and nail, paint, and candles. Fill the cans with water and freeze them. Once they are frozen, take them out and draw your design or words onto the can with black marker. Keep it simple. Then take a hammer and nails and hammer holes into your design. Finally, paint the can, melt the ice out of it, and place a candle inside for a festive decoration.

    Glowing Staircase

Crack a bunch of glowsticks and pour the liquid onto your outdoor staircase to create a spooky entryway for trick-or-treaters. After, simply wash away with a hose.

    Spooky Indoor Staircase

If you’re hosting a Halloween party and want to keep your guests on the first floor, then you’ll have to come up with a creative way to block the staircase in your event space. First, line up small flameless candles along each step, then add black rat cutouts to the upper stairs. Finally, drape black cheesecloth and black leaf garland across several lower stairs so that your guests understand that the upstairs is off-limits.

    Ghoulish Beverage Center

Get a cocktail cauldron and fill it with your favorite drink. Then come up with one or two other specialty cocktail drinks. Get a black chalkboard with an ornate frame and write your drinks on the board. Give them scary names like “Gin and Toxic Tonic” or “Pomegranate Poison.” If you can find cool cocktail glasses in the shape of skulls or anything like that, serve the drinks in those as well.
