This Weekend: Mitzvahs Expo in Philadelphia

    March 9, 2013

Some of the biggest and most memorable Bar and Bat Mitzvahs in Philadelphia take place just outside the city in its suburban Main Line region, home to some of the nation's wealthiest neighborhoods and most discerning tastes for food and events.

This Sunday, the vendors that set the bar so high are joining together for the first ever Main Line Bar and Bat Mitzvah Expo at the Baldwin School, a historic and prestigious event space located in Bryn Mawr. The event is set for 2-5 p.m. and features a host of Bar and Bat Mitzvah service providers like photographers, florists, entertainers, invitation/paper shops, event planners and caterers who are industry leaders throughout the region.

General admission is free, plus you’ll get a chance to wins a ton of awesome giveaways like flowers, clothes, invitations, and food. There’s also a fashion show and a panel discussion on overcoming some of the challenges sometimes associated with planning such a large event for such a momentous occasion in a young person’s life.

The Baldwin School, a former hotel for vacationing Philadelphians, is a private all-girls school that also plays host to a wide range of events all year long.

The event is presented by the Jewish Exponent, a Greater Philadelphia newspaper serving the region’s Jewish community.
