[Pin Board]: Wedding Wednesday: Valentine’s Themed Wedding

    February 13, 2013

With love in the air, this Wedding Wednesday we created a Valentine’s Themed wedding. This wedding is for the hopeless romantic, in love with love. Rather than cheesy “I love you’s,” we stuck to striking reds, and vibrant whites, incorporating the classic Valentine’s Day heart theme subtly.

We knew the perfect dress for a Valentine’s themed wedding was a Sweetheart top wedding dress! We added a red bouquet of roses and Calla Lilies and our bride was set. Matched with this we gave the bridesmaids beautiful, red dresses and white floral bouquets. These colors together pop and make a bold, beautiful statement.

If you want to stick to tradition, a classic white wedding cake is completely acceptable. A number of gorgeous cakes we found were accented with red frosting and floral details. However, if you want your Valentine’s themed wedding to be over the top, try something out of the ordinary and go with a red cake. Although you’ve broken away from tradition, the cake will still be beautiful and gorgeous!

For the reception we found several wedding locations great for a Valentine’s themed wedding. We found intimate reception venues, as well as large, open venues great for decorating. The wedding decorations we chose were classic white table linens accented with red flowers. We found that white candles added a beautiful, extra touch to the table centerpieces and event decorations. If you choose to use candles, make sure to check with your wedding venue if they allow lit candles inside.
