    Special Events Coordinator – Greater Chicago Food Depository (Apply Here)

    The candidate in this fast paced and deadline-oriented position will be responsible for supporting and participating in the successful planning and management of fundraising events that contribute revenue to the Food Depository, as well as managing and coordinating in-house events hosted by donors at the Food Depository. Candidate must be committed to the Mission of the organization, the Strategic Plan and uphold the Core Values. This position provides administrative support and logistics coordination for external and internal events, including: Hunger Walk, Commercial Real Estate Dinner, Futures Industry Award and any donor recognition/cultivation dinners.

    This position is responsible for supporting Hospitality Services, in particular, special events, and bank meetings/conferences, in a variety of administrative and logistical responsibilities. This includes supporting Senior Coordinators and liaising with partner departments to meet all client requests and needs. Proactively supports the department, and Senior Event Coordinators, by answering phones, checking shared email box, handling inquiries for space and checking availability in the Event Management System and other duties as assigned.

The primary focus will be to communicate brand message to both consumers and trade representatives, increasing awareness, trial and relevance among cigar smokers. Responsible for managing internal and agency resources to ensure successful planning and execution of experiential and educational events, performing day-to-day administrative functions, provide efficient budget management & reconciliation, serving as a spokesperson & Brand Ambassador at regional events in traditional retail and non-traditional tobacco venues, conducting brand-led events and develop customized regional events, programming, and promotions to fit local needs.

    As Meeting & Events Senior Associate, you'll plan, coordinate and execute mid-to-large-scale client events, such as offsite team building, Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY), executive roundtables, and alumni relations activities. With supervision, you'll make all the logistical arrangements for national and/or Area firm meetings. You may also act as the project manager for department projects and initiatives. You'll be expected to follow firm, business unit and departmental policies, guidelines and procedures. You'll also support the Meeting and Event Services (M&ES) mission statement, and promote a winning, team-based culture. Finally, you'll contribute to M&ES leading practices, to help the team meet its goals.
