    MassBike, the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition, is seeking a full-time Events and Outreach Manager. The Events and Outreach Manager will have primary responsibility for the planning and execution of our two major riding events – the Summer Century and the Berkshires to Boston Tour (a new multi-day tour) – and for our day-to-day public outreach and communications activities. The Events and Outreach Manager will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Membership and Office Coordinator and the Program Associate.

    The Coordinator for Programming and Events works in collaboration with Student Services department managers in Career Services, Religious and Spiritual Life, Student Life and Admissions to plan and execute events and programs. Primary responsibilities include the following: coordinate the planning and implementation of event logistics for Student Services offices; provide close oversight of weekly community events (Community Tea and Noon Service), including catering, inventory, and other logistics, maintain and update the offices’ public websites, contribute to the mission of Student Services and performs other duties as assigned.

    Manage all aspects of internal and external meetings including making site recommendations, contractual negotiations, budgets, F&B selections, coordinating speakers and facilitators, developing agendas. Work with outside investment management wholesalers in regard to securing time on agendas and sponsorships. Work with Sales Managers and wholesalers pertaining to planning of due diligence and broker/dealers sponsored meetings.  Develop agendas with Sales Manager and wholesalers. Follow NASD, John Hancock Legal and Broker/Dealer compliance guidelines when creating meetings, providing premium items and correspondence. Develop, organize and deliver internal and external meetings, conferences and training materials that meet the training and development needs of registered representatives across all channels of distribution. Coordinate promotion and follow up of all events.
