    Let’s face it -- everyone gets a sweet tooth every now and then! And there’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked desserts on a cold winter day. Here are some easy dessert recipes to warm up your winter! These are great for sharing with coworkers at your next company event or birthday party.

    Caramel Fudge Brownies 


    Prep Time: 15 minutes Bake Time: 30 minutes

     

     

    Ingredients:
    Fudge brownie mix
    1/4 cup chopped walnuts
    6 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping
    9 tablespoons whipped cream

    Whip up your favorite brand of fudge brownie mix in a bowl and pour into an 8-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray or oil. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake at 350 for 30-32 minutes or until the top springs back when lightly touched. Let cool. Cut into squares, drizzle with caramel topping and dollop with whipped cream. YIELD: 9 SERVINGS.

    *Tip: As a lighter option, use fat-free caramel topping and reduced-fat whipped cream!

     

    Mexican Hot Chocolate Sugar Cookies


    This tasty treat is guaranteed to be a hit at your next party! Whether you’re celebrating among friends or networking at your corporate event, people will be drooling over these unique sugar cookies with a twist.

     

     

    Prep Time: 20 minutes Bake Time: 14 minutes

    Ingredients:

    1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1/2 cup chopped cinnamon flavored chewy candies
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 roll of sugar cookies
    1/4 teaspoon chili powder

    Mix sugar, chili powder and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine cookie dough chopped candy and chocolate chips and mix well. Roll dough into 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll balls in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place a couple of inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-14 minutes or until golden around the edges. Let cool and serve. YIELDS: 30 SERVINGS.


    *Tip: Best served with hot chocolate! Adjust chili powder measurement to your liking.
