Creative Party Favor Ideas for Your Guests

    October 10, 2012

Hosting a party?  Show your guests you are happy they attended with party favors! Whether you're looking for something quick and easy or a homemade treat, we've found great ideas so you can surprise them with something out of the ordinary.

    Sweet Treat

You've already purchased or baked plenty of desserts for your guests. Instead of packing tupperware for a few of your guests to take home leftovers, turn the baked goods into party favors. Martha Stewart's Pie-To-Go party favors are a great way to avoid  leftovers and give your guests a delicious dessert to take home.

If you're feeling crafty, you can create these pie boxes yourself with a template and some card stock. Or you can purchase single slice pie boxes and simply line with parchment paper. Not serving pie? No worries! This party favor is perfect for all kinds of baked goods.

    Something Homemade

Add a personal touch to your party favors by making them yourself. Not feeling creative? There are tons of creative ideas to choose from on Pinterest! We like this "Pick Your Poison" cocktail box, which is full of an assortment of liquor bottles and is super easy to make. What guest wouldn't appreciate a few free cocktails?

All you need is decorative excelsior, 7" cardboard decoupage boxes, assorted mini-liquor bottles, black ribbon, and a full-sheet of label paper for the label. If you don't have a very large budget for party favors, choose a smaller box size (the smallest size available is 3"), which will be cheaper and require fewer bottles. If you don't want to give away alcohol to your guests, fill the box with cupcakes or jars of candy and you can still use the same label!

     Perfect for Fall

If you're hosting a Thanksgiving event, give your guests a party favor perfect for their tea when the weather gets cold. Etsy has an assortment of mini honey jars which are a unique and delicious way to thank your guests.

They are available in a variety of flavors and can be filled with nuts and dried cranberries. Again, this is something you can create yourself but if you're short on time, its always nice to be able to purchase something that looks homemade!
