A Great High School Graduation Party

    June 3, 2013

Graduating high school is an exciting time in a young person’s life. It is a rite of passage, marking the beginning of adulthood, which is more than enough reason to throw a party! Throwing the perfect graduation party is about being exciting, loud, and as colorful and bright as the graduate. Thankfully, this isn’t hard to do with just a few simple guidelines.

    The Announcement

When inviting people to the party or even simply telling them your child is graduating, it’s important to let the excitement out. Go with a bold invitation or announcement that celebrates this fantastic accomplishment but lets you know that this is still a party for a teenager.

    The Decorations

As we said earlier, the bolder the better. Many party supply stores will provide themed decorations (pictured above), but if you’re looking for something more DIY, colored streamers, balloons, and banners will do the trick.

    The Gifts

Your grad may be storming through the house singing “School’s Out,” but it is important to remember that they may be feeling some anxiety over leaving their friends, going off to college, and saying goodbye to their home-away-from-home for the past four years. When giving gifts, the sentimental stuff isn’t lost on high school grads. In fact, they may just cherish it forever.
