    18th Birthday Party Ideas

    October 15, 2013

There are certain birthdays that stand out and deserve a stellar celebration. These milestone birthdays usually mark a significant turning point in life. Your 18th birthday is one of those milestone events. It marks the day you are an official adult. Most 18 year-olds are also graduating from high school and preparing for the rest of their lives. If you're looking for 18th birthday party ideas, check out our suggestions below!

    Arts and Crafts Party

Why not throw a fun arts and crafts party for your 18th birthday? Invite all your friends and tell them to come prepared with one craft idea to make. Then you can rent out an event venue, get a bunch of large long tables for crafting, and decorate your space with some festive streamers and other decorations. During the event, be sure to take pictures so you can create a scrapbook of your creations.

    Cosmic Bowling Party

Renting a bowling alley is a great way to throw a fun birthday party, especially since you don’t have to set up or clean up, and the bowling alley staff can help with the event. It’s also a fun environment to celebrate with your friends, especially during cosmic bowling hours where the lights go down and the music goes up.

    Drive-In Movie Party

If you live in a state with mild weather, you can pull off this drive-in movie party practically all year round. As a tip, recruit a few of your friends that have flatbed trucks to the drive-in. If you can, put some couches and mattresses in the back of the trucks so you and your friends can sit and watch the movies comfortably.

    Bake-Off Party

Do you love to bake? If so, you should throw a bake-off party! Tell all your guests to bring their favorite baked treat recipe and set up before they arrive with tons of baking supplies and utensils. You could also buy aprons for everyone so they keep their clothes clean throughout the night. Split up into teams and create a competition out of it. Once everything is baked, have each team try out the creations and vote on their favorite. Everyone can take home the baked treats as party favors!

    Pool Party

A little fun in the sun while relaxing and playing in the pool is an excellent way to celebrate your 18th birthday. If you don’t have a pool in your own home, you could always rent an event space that has a pool. Just make sure that you and your friends keep the event venue clean so you don’t have to pay any extra cleaning fees. It’s also a good idea to bring some extra towels and snacks.
